Closing the Skills Gap

In the period October 2016 to March 2017, Maxim Jean-Louis, PresidentChief Executive Officer of Contact North I Contact Nord was requested by the Ontario Skilled Trades Alliance to carry out an engagement process with its members to help determine a transformative vision for apprenticeship training in Ontario. These leaders are from the construction industry, which employs a significant number of skilled tradespersons and help build Ontario's future. The engagement process focused on exploring innovative ways of closing the skills gaps that exist in the province. A discussion paper entitled Closing the Skills Gaps: A Way Forward for Apprenticeship and Skills Development in Ontario.
